lemmings!

isn't it just SO ADORABLE?!

Oh my god.

i've recently (okay, maybe not so recently) gotten to be very obsessed over LEMMINGS.

i mean, they're so cute! and round, and soft :D

and there's this myth about them throwing themselves off cliffs into the ocean.
well, according to Animal Planet, the myth started when (apparently) 2 guys were trying to film lemmings, and they put the lemming on a snow-covered turning table. so it's like a huge, snowy, horizontal hamster wheel. and to add a little more drama, they went outdoors and herded the lemmings to a cliff by a river. O.o and you can see where the myth came from..

apparently, Animal Planet thinks that
it isn't that the lemmings throw themselves off cliffs,
it's that we humans choose to believe anything,

even something so far fetched.
